Overnight Parking Change

From Copper Mountain Resort:

We are excited to announce several parking enhancements that will benefit our community. To ensure smoother traffic flow, we have expanded the Far East Lot by an additional 900 parking spaces. We are also introducing two new COBUSes to improve transportation efficiency between our parking lots and villages.

As many of you are aware, we've encountered challenges in our Alpine Lot over the years, primarily related to cars being parked overnight, sometimes for extended periods. This has posed difficulties in efficiently plowing snow and accommodating day skier vehicles. While we value providing an overnight parking option at the resort, we need to address these issues. To better manage parking and ensure that lingering cars don't hinder snow removal, we are implementing a new system. Starting opening day on November 13, 2023, there will be a fee to park in the Alpine Lot between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Users can pay this fee conveniently through a QR code or at the kiosk.

This new system will not only help us maintain a well-organized parking area but also streamline the process for all Alpine Lot users. The fee will be $20 per day per vehicle, ensuring fair access to this prime parking area. We are pleased to continue to offer free parking in the Far East Lot and Alpine lot for skier day parking and appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance everyone’s parking experience at Copper.
