Copper Mountain will open for skiing and snowboarding on Sunday, November 8, kicking off the 2026–27 winter season.
After warmer weather pushed back the planned Friday opening, several productive days and nights of snowmaking gave crews the window they needed. A big thank-you to Copper’s snowmaking and mountain operations teams for working around the clock to get the mountain ready.
There will be free hot chocolate and coffee, power bars from the Copper Bake Shop and YETI giveaways for the first 50 skiers and riders in the American Eagle lift line. DJ Landry will be playing in Eagle’s Landing, and DJ Littlefoot will be playing on the Aerie patio.
If you’re heading out for first turns or welcoming guests this weekend, check Copper Mountain Resort’s website for lift hours, open terrain and opening-day updates before you head out.
See you on the mountain, Copper!
